About us

The Workshop opened February 22, 2014. It was started by Becky Weidner with help from Kara Ginther.

Over the years, The Workshop has changed the number and variety of classes and studio times offered. Currently we have several weekly opportunities for the public to come in and use our studio space. We also have a few additional classes each month and take private appointments for groups and parties.

Our little gift shop has grown to offer more items, especially ceramics. We have been making and selling more work wholesale and through markets and art fairs. Upcoming, we hope to expand our online store as well.

FAQs

When is The Workshop open?

Check out the calendar to see everything coming up. Contact us for a private appointment.

Is The Workshop for kids or adults?

Both. We have classes and host parties for kids and adults.

Can I drop off my kids?

That depends on your kids. For young children, we require parents to stay, assist, and have fun while their kids are learning and making things. As children get older, they become more able to do projects independently, clean up after themselves, and move from one project to the next. There is no specific age at which this happens; thus, it works best if you come in with your children and explore The Workshop, learn where supplies and tools are located, and determine if they will be able to work independently.

When will you be having __________ class again?

Most classes other than the weekly classes happen by request. If you want to attend a class at The Workshop that isn’t on the calendar, please contact us, and we can try to set it up.
